Hans J. Wegner Lounge Chair

This is an early example of the Hans J. Wegner Lounge Chair model GE240 for GETAMA, Denmark. The chair is also sometimes called 'Cigar' Chair due the shape of the armrests. Beautiful aged and grained high quality oak wooden frame in very good condition. Original metal spring cushions with new upholstery in a beautiful Pierre Frey fabric. The chair offers a lot of comfort due to the specific angle backrest versus seat. This is further enhanced by the coil springs in the cushions. Signed with manufacturers stamp.
